SWIS Uniform Information

The SWIS uniform consists of a number core items to cover all seasons, along with a number of optional items such as backpacks and hats.

There are no uniform shoes at SWIS however a black pair of VANS are available for purchase in the shop.

Selected items are available in the school office, most can be purchased through our uniform supplier, NZ Uniforms.

Non uniform items should not be worn with school uniform at any time. If you are unsure if an item is acceptable to be worn with the uniform please check with a teacher.

Students need to have all clothing clearly NAMED please.

What the SWIS Uniform looks like

SWIS Uniform Tops Sweatpants
NORMAL DAILY UNIFORM (OFFICIAL ITEMS)
  • SWIS green polo shirt
  • SWIS shorts/skirts or black track pants/trousers
  • SWIS green sweatshirt or polar fleece
  • SWIS beanie or plain black beanie for outdoors (Term 2 and 3 only)
SWIS Uniform PE
PE & SPORT UNIFORM
  • Official yellow PE t-shirt
  • Plain black school shorts or black track pants
  • No mufti clothing visible underneath
  • Suitable shoes for running
SWIS Uniform T Skirt Top
NORMAL DAILY UNIFORM (OTHER)
  • Any sun hat or cap (to be worn outdoors)
  • Green or black thermal skins (or similar) can be worn under t-shirts during terms 2 and 3.
  • No other mufti clothing underneath should be showing
  • Only black rain jackets are allowed to be worn over correct uniform when outside during cold or wet days

SWIS Uniform Footwear
FOOTWEAR FOR ACTIVITIES

Although there are no uniform shoes at SWIS it is important that appropriate shoes are worn for some activities.

  • Shoes that are suitable for physical activities are required for P.E. and sports
  • Crocs are not recommended as they do not provide support for active students, nor effective safety and protection.
  • Closed shoes are required when participating in Cooking and Hard Materials due to safety reasons.

APPEARANCE
  • We celebrate the wearing of taonga by students and staff.
  • No make-up is allowed to be worn by students.
  • No jewellery other than stud-type earrings and a watch to be worn.
  • Hair is to be tied up off the face during class time.
