All ākonga will be participating in our annual SWIS Athletics Day at Newtown Park on Monday 10 March and we’re looking forward to seeing them give the various events their best shot! Whānau are welcome to come along and support – the more cheering the better!
There are a few things to know before the day.
- Ākonga need to be at Newtown Park by 8.45am. Homeroom teachers will be taking the roll at the park.
- Ākonga will be dismissed from the park at 3pm.
- Bring lots of food, water, and a hat. Ākonga may choose to wear their class team colours or their PE uniform, however no paint is permitted in the grounds. Do not bring devices, jewelry or anything valuable.
Here is a map of the route from SWIS to Newtown Park. It is a five minute walk from school.
